Doctors Without Borders is an international independent medical humanitarian organisation. We provide medical assistance to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters, or exclusion from healthcare in more than 70 countries. Our teams are made up of tens of thousands of health professionals, logistic and administrative staff - most of them hired locally. Our actions are guided by medical ethics and the principles of impartiality, independence and neutrality.
Doctors Without Borders (Thailand) or DWBT is working in Thailand since 2017 and currently operates a project in the Deep South of Thailand supporting mental health activities for the population there and a project in the North supporting the emergency responses along the Thai-Myanmar border.
In April 2021, the North project started as an exploratory mission in Mae Hong Son province. And in August 2021, the project started to implement emergency response activities along the Thai-Myanmar border supporting access to health care for vulnerable populations.
